Tomb Raider Remastered PS5: No Platinum Trophy for 1-3
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered for PS5 lacks platinum trophy, disappointing fans. Includes over 200 other trophies. Launches Feb 13 on all platforms.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered has been confirmed by developer Aspyr to not include a platinum trophy on PlayStation 5, as reported by IGN.
The PlayStation 4 version, however, does feature a platinum trophy. This means that the PS5 versions of Tomb Raider 1-3 only come with individual Bronze, Silver, and Gold trophies.
Aspyr, the developer behind the remaster collection on behalf of principal Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics, stated to IGN that the collection includes over 200 trophies to collect, but no platinum on PS5.
In their full statement, Aspyr said, "The PlayStation 4 version of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered features a platinum trophy, while the PS5 version does not. Players will receive both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 version of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered with their purchase. This collection includes over 200 trophies covering game completions, easter eggs, and new challenges."
This decision has left some PS5 owners disappointed, as they had planned to pick up Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered on their console. It also brings to mind the PS5 version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, which also launched without a platinum trophy.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered includes visually updated versions of Tomb Raider and The Unfinished Business Expansion, Tomb Raider 2 and The Gold Mask Expansion, and Tomb Raider 3 and The Lost Artifact Expansion. It will be available on February 13 across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
