Tyrese Proctor injury update: Duke basketball win after concussion
Duke's Tyrese Proctor cleared from concussion protocol and ready to play against Miami in ACC basketball game. Duke is on fire.
Duke's Tyrese Proctor, a sophomore guard, is back in action after being cleared from concussion protocol. He is set to join the No. 8 Blue Devils as they face off against Miami in an ACC basketball game at the Watsco Center. Proctor missed the previous game against Florida State after hitting his head on the court during a game against Wake Forest. This injury placed him in concussion protocol, preventing him from practicing or traveling with the team. However, he has now recovered and is ready to return to the court.
Proctor has been a key player for Duke this season, starting in 16 games and averaging 10 points and 3.5 assists per game. He has also shown strong shooting percentages, making 43.7% of his shots overall and 35.5% of his 3-pointers. This is not the first time Proctor has faced injury this season, as he previously suffered a sprained ankle in a game against Georgia Tech.
Despite these setbacks, the Blue Devils have been performing well, winning 15 of their last 17 games. A victory against Miami would put them in a tie for first place in the ACC standings with North Carolina. Proctor's return to the lineup is a welcome development for the team as they continue their push towards the top of the conference.
