Flaujae Johnson brother arrested charged LSU South Carolina fight
Man charged for intervening in LSU-South Carolina basketball scuffle. Brother of LSU player arrested for assault and battery, disorderly conduct.
The recent incident at the LSU-South Carolina SEC women's basketball tournament championship game has led to charges being filed against a man for his involvement in a heated half-court scuffle. Trayron Milton, a 24-year-old Georgia resident and brother of LSU Tigers' guard Flau'jae Johnson, was arrested and charged with assault and battery, 3rd-degree, and disorderly conduct by the Greenville Police Department.
The altercation began in the fourth quarter when South Carolina's MiLaysia Fulwiley stole the ball from Johnson, leading to a physical confrontation between players. Following a series of shoves and pushes, Milton, who was in the stands, jumped over the barricade onto the court, causing chaos and requiring security intervention.
Reports indicate that Milton pushed down on an SEC employee's head and stepped on her shoulders to reach the court. While he was quickly apprehended by officers, the incident resulted in multiple ejections from both teams, including South Carolina star Kamilla Cardoso, who was disqualified for the remainder of the game and suspended for the first NCAA Tournament game.
The aftermath of the scuffle has left both teams facing consequences, with LSU now focusing on the upcoming NCAA women's basketball selection show. Despite the turmoil of the incident, the Tigers remain a projected 2-seed in ESPN's latest NCAA Tournament projection, highlighting the need for sportsmanship and respect on and off the court.
