Kyrie Irving Anta Kai 1 Sneaker Release Third Colorway This Week
Kyrie Irving's Anta Kai 1 "Enlightened Warrior" sneaker drops this week. Features mismatched colors representing different qualities. Limited release.
Anta is set to release Kyrie Irving's third colorway of his first signature sneaker, the Anta Kai 1 "Enlightened Warrior," this week. This unique sneaker features a mismatched design across the two shoes, with five different colors symbolizing five distinct qualities. The right shoe showcases a red heel stabilizer representing speed, while the left shoe's green stabilizer embodies focus. Additionally, black and white patterns above the toe are outlined in purple and yellow, representing agility and speed, respectively. The overall black color of the shoe ties into the "Ethos Inspiration" theme, drawing inspiration from tribal and native influences.
The Anta Kai 1 was launched in March, just eight months after Anta signed Kyrie Irving to an endorsement deal. Irving had briefly been a sneaker free agent after Nike terminated their relationship due to controversial views he had shared in a documentary. Eventually, Irving denounced these views, leading to his partnership with Anta.
The "Enlightened Warrior" colorway follows previous editions such as "Artist on the Court" and the limited edition "Kaiverse," which was released in a small quantity during the opening of Anta's Beijing flagship store. The standout feature of the Anta Kai 1 is its carbon fiber plate within a TPU foam midsole, providing targeted stability at the forefoot.
The Anta Kai 1 "Enlightened Warrior" will be available for purchase on Friday, April 12, through Anta's website and select retailers like Kicks Crew. Sign-ups for the release will open on Tuesday, April 9, with a retail price of $125. This latest colorway continues to showcase the innovative design and technology of Kyrie Irving's collaboration with Anta.
