Among them was Alison Betts, a writer and creative executive from San Jose, California, Brian Hardzinski, a public radio producer from Flower Mound, Texas, and Lee Wilkins, a regulatory affairs coordinator from Auburn, Alabama.
In a thrilling episode, Betts and Hardzinski dominated the game, with Betts leading by a slim margin of $600 going into Final Jeopardy. The final clue, under the category "Space Shuttles," was about a man who died far from home in 1779, and both Betts and Hardzinski correctly answered "Cook." With both players wagering all their earnings, Betts emerged victorious with $28,600, just edging out Hardzinski's $28,000.
Betts, who expressed surprise at her win, had previously appeared on Netflix's Bulls***: The Game Show, where she showcased her trivia skills. After her Jeopardy! victory, Betts celebrated on social media, sharing a video of herself kissing a baby alligator in New Orleans.
Fans of the show praised Betts for her strong performance and speculated on her potential to become a super-champion. What are your thoughts on Thursday's game? Can Betts continue her winning streak? Share your opinions in the comments below.
