Megan Thee Stallion sued by former cameraman over allegations of sex in front of him
Megan Thee Stallion sued for creating hostile work environment, sexual harassment. Former employee claims rapper subjected him to abuse.
Fox News Flash brings you the latest entertainment and celebrity headlines, including news of a lawsuit filed against Megan Thee Stallion by a former employee. The employee, Emilio Garcia, who worked as Stallion's personal camera operator, alleges that the rapper created a hostile work environment and subjected him to sexual harassment.
According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Garcia claims to have witnessed Stallion engaging in sexual activity with another woman while he was present in an SUV during a tour in Ibiza, Spain. Stallion allegedly instructed Garcia not to discuss what he saw.
During the same trip, Garcia also alleges that Stallion made fat-shaming comments towards him, calling him a "fat b----" and telling him not to eat. Garcia claims that he was misclassified as an independent contractor and was not provided with proper breaks or meal times, in violation of California Labor Codes.
Garcia's responsibilities as a personal cameraman reportedly required him to work long hours under Stallion's direction, including brainstorming TikTok videos and completing various assignments. His pay structure changed from a flat monthly rate to a pay-per-task system, resulting in a decrease in bookings. Garcia was terminated in July 2023 after expressing his intention to quit.
Attorney Ron Zambrano, representing Garcia, stated that Stallion needs to take responsibility for her actions and address the allegations of sexual harassment and fat-shaming. He emphasized that exposing employees to such behavior is illegal and unacceptable.
The lawsuit alleges that Garcia has suffered from anxiety, depression, and physical distress due to the toxic work environment and unpaid work. The case highlights the importance of addressing workplace harassment and ensuring fair treatment of employees.
