Brad Marchand remains hopeful for Game 7 despite Boston Bruins' disappointing loss

Despite the missed chances in the previous games, Bruins captain Brad Marchand views Game 7 as a golden opportunity to showcase their best performance on Saturday. When asked if the current playoff situation resembles last year's campaign, where they squandered a 3-1 series lead against the Florida Panthers, Marchand remained positive during the post-game press conference.

Brushing aside any worries about parallels with the previous postseason, he expressed his optimism by stating, "I couldn't care less about how it unfolded. We're here and it's an opportunity. You know, we have to be grateful for it. These are the moments you dream about as a kid, Game 7. It's where heroes are forged and I believe we should be excited about the position we're in and make the most of it."

In line with coach Jim Montgomery, Marchand emphasized the importance of a strong start in the upcoming game. When questioned about the team's inability to match the opponent's intensity at the beginning of the game, he acknowledged the Leafs' desperation to secure a win but noted improvements in their performance compared to the previous game.

Furthermore, Marchand was asked about the Bruins' favorable playoff records against the Maple Leafs, with the Leafs not having won a playoff series against the Bruins in over six decades. However, he downplayed the significance of past records, emphasizing that rivalries are built in the present moment and that the team should focus on the upcoming challenge.
