Super Bowl winner Odell Beckham Jr Miami Dolphins deal reports
NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. signs one-year deal with Miami Dolphins worth up to $8.25 million, joining fourth team in three seasons.
NFL star receiver Odell Beckham Jr., a Super Bowl champion, has reportedly reached an agreement on a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, as per various reports circulating on Friday.
Beckham, who played a key role in the Los Angeles Rams' 2021 NFL championship victory but unfortunately suffered a knee injury in the Super Bowl, causing him to miss the entire 2022 season, is now poised to join his fourth team in just three seasons, according to ESPN and the NFL Network.
The contract is said to be valued at $3 million initially, with the potential to earn up to $8.25 million through various incentive targets.
A former first-round pick by the New York Giants in the 2014 NFL Draft, Beckham spent five seasons with the Giants before moving on to the Cleveland Browns for three seasons. He was then traded mid-season to the Rams in 2021.
After a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens last year, where he recorded 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns, Beckham was released in March.
Throughout his career spanning 110 games, Beckham has amassed 566 receptions for 7,932 yards and 59 touchdowns.
In Miami, Beckham is expected to take on a role as the third receiver behind the Dolphins' dynamic duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Hill led the league in receiving yards last season with 1,799 yards on 119 catches and 13 touchdowns, while Waddle contributed 72 receptions for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns.
The Dolphins also added receivers Malik Washington and Tahj Washington in the recent NFL Draft.
With his new team, Beckham will bring his explosive playmaking abilities to the field, adding depth and experience to the Dolphins' receiving corps.
