Wednesday season 2 cast revealed as filming starts, Percy Hynes White dropped from show

The highly anticipated season 2 of Wednesday is currently in full swing, with filming underway in Ireland. Netflix has officially announced the entire cast lineup for the new season, exciting fans all over the world.

Returning to reprise her role as Wednesday Addams is Jenna Ortega, who will be joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as regular cast members for season two. Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be making a comeback, along with Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane in guest roles.

New additions to the series regulars include Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. The main cast will also feature Steve Buscemi and a guest appearance by Thandiwe Newton. Guest stars for the season will include Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo.

Fans will be delighted to see Christopher Lloyd, known for his portrayal of Uncle Fester in the Addams Family films from the 1990s, making a return to the Addams universe. However, Percy Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in season one, was notably absent from the cast announcement.

The show premiered on November 23, 2022, and quickly became a massive hit for Netflix. It garnered 12 Emmy nominations and secured four wins, solidifying its place as one of the most popular shows on the streaming platform.

Series creators and showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar expressed their excitement about the upcoming season, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome the entire Addams family to Nevermore Academy this season, along with a stellar cast of icons and fresh faces." In addition to their writing and showrunning duties, Gough and Millar will also serve as executive producers.

Tim Burton will be directing and holding an executive producer credit for the season, with Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson set to direct episodes as well. Executive producer credits are also held by Steve Stark of Toluca Pictures, Andrew Mittman of 1.21 Entertainment, Karen Richards, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, Tommy Harper, and Meredith Averill.

The second season of Wednesday promises to be even more thrilling and captivating than the first, with a star-studded cast and talented crew working behind the scenes to bring the Addams family back to life in a whole new way.
