Dollywood Splash Country Opening Saturday

Dollywood's Splash Country in East Tennessee opens for its 24th season with new food options, entertainment, and emphasis on safety.

Summer has arrived in East Tennessee, bringing with it scorching temperatures that make a visit to Dollywood's Splash Country the perfect way to beat the heat and relax. The popular water park is set to open for its 24th season this Saturday, offering guests an array of new food options, exciting entertainment, and 35 acres of summer fun for visitors of all ages.

In response to the success of the dining enhancements introduced in 2023, Dollywood's Splash Country is rolling out revamped food offerings for the 2024 season. Two new venues, Ned's Bear Paws and Mountain Waves Creamery, located at the Mountain Waves wave pool, will be serving up delicious treats and meals that are sure to satisfy even the biggest appetites.

Andrew McDonald, Splash Country's Manager of Culinary Services, expressed his excitement about the new food offerings, stating that providing guests with a wide variety of dining options is a top priority for the park.

Entertainment is also a key focus for Dollywood's Splash Country this season, with the return of popular events such as Too Hot Tuesdays, Too Chill Thursdays presented by Coca-Cola, and Splash Bash LIVE. These live music events, held at the wave pool stage, promise to turn the area into a vibrant dance party that guests won't want to miss.

A new addition for 2024 is the Family Reunion Retreat presented by Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen, offering groups of 12 or more a spacious and luxurious retreat experience. This retreat provides all the amenities of the Deluxe Retreat, with additional space to accommodate larger parties.

Despite all the exciting enhancements, safety remains a top priority at Dollywood's Splash Country. The park's lifeguards were recently honored with the Ellis and Associates' Platinum International Safety Award for their outstanding safety record in 2023, marking the second consecutive year they have received this prestigious award.

As part of their commitment to safety, Splash Country will host the 14th annual Water Safety Day presented by Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen on June 20. This event focuses on promoting safe swim practices and includes participation in the World's Largest Swimming Lesson, a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of teaching children to swim.

Guests can take advantage of special meal bundles at Dollywood's Splash Country, with ticket prices starting at $54.95+tax for one-day admission. For just $5 more, guests can add a meal and drink, or for $10 more, they can enjoy a meal, drink, and snack. Visitors looking for a summer full of excitement and delicious food can upgrade to a two-park season pass with water park dining, providing access to Dollywood's Splash Country all season long along with a meal and snack during each visit.
