"We've got to make it a little bit tougher on Oettinger," remarked Avalanche coach Jared Bednar in the aftermath of Saturday's loss. Despite Mikko Rantanen netting Colorado's lone goal, the team's top line of Rantanen, Nathan MacKinnon, and Artturi Lehkonen struggled to find their usual offensive rhythm against a resolute Stars defense.

Dallas coach Peter DeBoer praised his team's performance, labeling it as close to a perfect road game as one could play in such a crucial playoff matchup. The Stars have historically fared well against the Avalanche in extended playoff series, with Colorado needing to win at least six games to advance this time around.

Having already secured a road victory in the series, the Avalanche must now regroup and focus on generating more offense, particularly on the power play where they went 0-for-3 in Game 3.
