Prince Charles, aged 75, and his wife Camilla, aged 76, were seen at the cathedral for the service, which brought together 2000 holders of honours from the UK and the Commonwealth. The Order of the British Empire (OBE) is a prestigious order founded in 1917 by King George V to recognize contributions to the country's war efforts and has since expanded to include achievements in various fields such as arts, sciences, charitable work, and public service.

The absence of Charles and Camilla at Prince Harry's event raised eyebrows, especially considering the significance of the Invictus Games, a multi-sport event founded by Harry in 2014 to support wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and servicewomen.
