Coach Blake Dean expressed satisfaction with the team's improvement, reaching 30 wins for the third consecutive year. The Privateers set the tone with a five-run second inning, highlighted by a two-run home run from senior Issac Williams. Despite Lamar's response with a five-run inning in the fourth, Cortez Dennis delivered four shutout innings in relief. Mitchell Sanford's two-run blast in the fifth gave UNO the lead, and Williams added his second home run in the eighth. The team never trailed again, with Dennis pitching through the eighth and Bryce Calloway closing out the game.

Looking ahead to the Southland Conference tournament, UNO is set to be the No. 3 seed. Dean is optimistic about the team's chances, emphasizing the importance of consistency, luck, and timing in postseason success.
