Singer Sean Kingston's mother, Janice Turner, was taken into custody during a raid at a mansion rented by the entertainer in Southwest Ranches. The Broward Sheriff's deputies and Davie Police SWAT members were seen serving a search warrant at the massive mansion, where Turner was arrested on fraud and theft charges. A lawsuit filed against Kingston for not paying for purchased items, including a 232-inch TV, is said to be connected to the raid.

Attorney Dennis Card, representing the plaintiff, claimed that Kingston has a history of not paying for expensive items, such as a $150,000 television sound system, $1 million worth of watches, and an $80,000 custom bed. Card described Kingston as a scammer who lures people into releasing items without payment using his celebrity status. The raid revealed luxury cars parked outside the mansion, which was last sold for $2.25 million in 2021.

Despite being out of town during the raid, Kingston has not been charged yet. His mother, Turner, who was featured in her own Instagram page selling sauce, has a criminal history of filing false loan applications and bank fraud. Kingston, known for hits like "Beautiful Girls," has faced legal troubles in the past, including a serious injury in 2011.

In response to the raid, Kingston posted on Instagram, reassuring his followers that he and his mother are fine and that his lawyers are handling the situation. The ongoing pattern of alleged fraud involving Kingston and his mother has raised questions about their involvement in organized systematic fraud. Authorities have not disclosed further details about potential charges against Kingston, as the investigation continues.
