American Savings Bank is thrilled to announce the success of its 2024 Kahiau Giving Campaign, which raised an impressive $443,000 to support five local nonprofits in Hawaiʻi. The annual workplace giving initiative saw over 90% of ASB teammates participating, resulting in approximately $210,000 being raised. With ASB's 100% match and additional funds for neighbor island United Way organizations, the total donation amount reached $443,000.

ASB's president and CEO, Ann Teranishi, emphasized the importance of uplifting Hawaiʻi's residents, businesses, and communities with essential services and renewed hope, especially in challenging times. The Kahiau partners, including Child & Family Service, Kapiolani Health Foundation, Kupu Hawaiʻi, Partners in Development Foundation, and various United Way chapters, all share a commitment to affordable housing, financial literacy, and community revitalization.
