Jerry Halsey appointed CEO of Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group - Talk Business and Politics

Jonesboro-based Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group celebrates 10 years in 2024 with a major ownership change and expansion plans.

In 2024, the Jonesboro-based Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a significant change in ownership. Jerry L. Halsey Jr., one of the original owners, will become the sole proprietor of the company while Roddy Thrasher and Gary Harpole will continue their involvement in the business but will no longer be directly involved in day-to-day management. This shift represents not only a change in ownership but also a strategic shift in focus and operations as the company looks to the future with renewed commitment to excellence, quality, and growth.

The real estate group will maintain its specialization in commercial and residential brokerage, development, and property management while expanding its reach beyond Northeast Arkansas to central Arkansas. Further expansion into other markets is also being considered. Halsey discussed the company's anniversary and future plans with Talk Business & Politics Editor-in-Chief Roby Brock, highlighting the reasons behind the ownership change and the company's expansion into Benton, Arkansas.

Despite challenges such as higher interest rates affecting commercial development, Halsey remains optimistic about the market. He emphasized the importance of adapting to changing economic conditions and underwriting deals differently to accommodate higher interest rates. Older properties are seeing increased demand as rents in newer spaces rise, leading to renovations and infill development in city centers.

Looking ahead, Halsey envisions a future focused on quality agents, exceptional service, and a strong customer and client focus. While the exact trajectory of the company in the next 10 to 15 years remains uncertain, the emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction will guide its growth and success in the real estate industry.
