First Dragon Age Veilguard Trailer Revealed, Familiar Faces Featured - Xbox Showcase 2024

BioWare teases Dragon Age: The Veilguard at Xbox Showcase, featuring familiar faces, new companions, and a fall 2024 release window.

BioWare unveiled the first trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard at the Xbox Showcase, hinting at the return of familiar faces without a confirmed release date. The trailer introduces characters like Benara the Veil Jumper, Davrin the Warden, Emmrich the Necromancer, Neve the Detective, Lucanis the Mage Killer, and Taash the Dragon Hunter.

The game will focus on seven companions, prompting the name change from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. Longtime fans will recognize Varric and Lace Harding, who make appearances in the trailer. Varric was first introduced in Dragon Age II, while Harding debuted in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The trailer teases a fall 2024 release window, aligning with recent speculation. It has been almost a decade since the last Dragon Age title, leaving fans eagerly awaiting more information. BioWare plans to reveal more details this summer, following an in-game cinematic released in December 2022 focusing on Solas.

BioWare's general manager, Gary McKay, emphasized the importance of companions in The Veilguard, highlighting the unique experience each Dragon Age game offers.
