The young star has certainly made a splash in her debut season in the WNBA, earning the title of WNBA Rookie of the Month for May. In her first nine games, Clark reached double-digit scoring figures an impressive seven times, with five of those games seeing her surpass the 20-point mark. Her scoring prowess led all rookies in points per game for the month of May, averaging an impressive 17.6 points.

Reflecting on the pressure and expectations that come with her rising star status, Clark shared her perspective, stating, "I certainly know there's pressure there. That's been like my entire career. I just have fun playing basketball. I know this is a team sport. It's not all about me...I'm definitely a perfectionist but I'm at my best when I allow myself to have a little grace and not expect everything to go exactly how it should, but at the same time that's what allowed me to be so great."

Despite her remarkable success in the WNBA, Clark's journey to the Olympics this summer hit a roadblock as she was not selected to be part of Team USA. The roster for Team USA includes a formidable lineup of talented players, but Clark remains undeterred. She views this setback as motivation to continue honing her skills and striving towards her dream of representing her country on the international stage in the future.

Expressing her support for her fellow athletes who made the Team USA roster, Clark shared, "I'm excited for the girls that are on the team. It's the most competitive team in the world and it could have gone either way with me being on the team or not being on the team. I'm excited for them and I'll be rooting them on to win gold."
