Exciting Reminders and Calendar Integration in iOS 18

Apple finally adds the feature we've all been waiting for - Calendar and Reminders apps now talk to each other! Game changer.

I'm a simple person who doesn't ask for much, but there's one feature that Apple's Calendar and Reminders apps have been missing, and in iOS 18, they've finally added it. If you're familiar with Apple's built-in calendar and reminder apps, you know they're not as feature-rich as other options like Google or Microsoft. Personally, I prefer the simplicity of Apple's apps and have been using them for years.

While I use Google's productivity apps for work, I still prefer Apple's offerings for my personal life. However, there's always been one thing missing - the ability for Calendar and Reminders to communicate with each other. Unlike Google and Microsoft, Apple's apps have never synced tasks with dates in the Calendar app.

But with the release of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, Apple has finally addressed this issue. At WWDC 2024, Apple announced that Calendar and Reminders will now sync with each other. This means that the Calendar app will now display tasks from the Reminders app, allowing users to create, edit, and complete reminders directly from the Calendar app.

This new feature is a game-changer for me. I rely on dates for almost all of my reminders, so being able to see and take action on them directly in the Calendar app will be incredibly convenient. No more switching between apps to manage my day-to-day tasks - Calendar powered by Reminders is all I need now.
