Hamilton described the car as "peaky," indicating that it still needs more improvements to truly challenge front-runners like Red Bull's Max Verstappen. This particular race stood out as Hamilton's best performance of the season so far, earning him his first podium finish since the 2023 Mexican Grand Prix. However, he still trailed behind Verstappen by 17.8 seconds, with Lando Norris of McLaren not far behind.

In his post-race comments, Hamilton acknowledged the progress his team has made but emphasized the need for further advancements to close the gap with their competitors. Despite recent updates to the car, including a new front wing and a lighter floor, Hamilton noted that the current improvements have reached their limit. He stressed the importance of adding more enhancements to the car to enhance its performance and competitiveness.

Hamilton also highlighted the challenges he faced with handling and tire management throughout the season. He mentioned struggling with the car's balance, which affected his ability to navigate corners smoothly unless the setup was perfectly aligned.
