Dwayne Johnson unveils trailer for holiday film 'Red One' starring Chris Evans in a thrilling quest to rescue Santa Claus.

Dwayne Johnson has just dropped the first trailer for his highly anticipated holiday extravaganza, Red One. Directed by Jake Kasdan, the mastermind behind the Jumanji series, this film promises to be a thrilling ride. Alongside Johnson, the star-studded cast includes Chris Evans on a mission to save none other than Santa Claus himself, portrayed by JK Simmons. The plot, initially shrouded in secrecy, unveils a gripping tale where Santa Claus, code-named RED ONE, is kidnapped. This prompts the North Pole's Head of Security, played by Johnson, to team up with the world's most infamous bounty hunter, portrayed by Evans. Together, they embark on a whirlwind adventure across the globe to ensure that Christmas is saved.

In a caption accompanying the trailer, Dwayne expressed his excitement for the project, stating, ''We both LOVE Christmas, and took Christmas lore and Christmas legend, shook it up and flipped it on its head. Penned by Chris Morgan, a frequent collaborator with Seven Bucks Productions renowned for his contributions to the 'Fast and Furious' universe, the screenplay brings to life the grand vision envisioned by Garcia and the production team.

According to Deadline, the film is produced by Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar of The Detective Agency, Chris Morgan of Chris Morgan Productions, and Hiram Garcia, Dany Garcia, and Dwayne Johnson of Seven Bucks Productions.

Red One serves as a reunion for director Jake Kasdan, Dwayne Johnson, and Seven Bucks Productions following their successful partnership on the blockbuster Jumanji films Welcome to the Jungle and The Next Level, which collectively grossed over USD 1.7 billion worldwide.
