Report states Gabe Vincent departing Miami Heat for 3-year agreement with Los Angeles Lakers

Vincent, who played a crucial role for the Heat during their memorable run to the 2023 NBA Finals, showcased his skills as a reliable role player. Throughout the postseason, he averaged 12.7 points and 3.5 assists in 30.5 minutes per game, shooting an impressive 37.8% from beyond the arc. During the 2022-23 season, Vincent solidified his position as Miami's starting point guard, averaging 9.4 points and 2.5 assists while maintaining shooting percentages of 40.2% from the field and 33.4% from deep over 68 games.

Vincent's journey to the NBA was not an easy one. After going undrafted in 2018, he spent significant time in the G League before finally earning his spot in the league. In 2020, he joined the Miami Heat on a two-way contract and eventually secured his first NBA deal with the team in the 2021 offseason.

While the Lakers celebrate their recent acquisitions, the Miami Heat face the possibility of losing yet another starter in free agency. The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly engaged in a sign-and-trade deal to acquire sharp-shooting wing Max Strus.
