In the pre-season tour match against Leeds United at the Ullevaal Stadion, Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag expressed his belief that new signing Mason Mount will make a significant contribution to the team. Despite not scoring in his debut, Mount impressed with his skills and Ten Hag expects him to bring joy to the team.

Mount played in a deeper midfield position and showcased his ability to make penetrative passes and press high on the pitch. He dropped deep to receive the ball and initiated attacks with forward passes.

Mount himself enjoyed playing in this role, as it allowed him to be involved in the build-up play from a deeper position while also having the freedom to get forward and contribute in the attacking areas. He and the other starters played for only 45 minutes, giving the youngsters a chance to showcase their abilities in the second half.

After a grueling week of training, Mount expressed his satisfaction with getting some minutes on the pitch and putting their hard work into practice. Looking ahead, Mount will be eager to make an impact in Manchester United's upcoming match against Lyon at the Murrayfield Stadium in Scotland.
