G Herbo Asserts He Will Avoid Snitching, Unfazed by Others' Actions Against Young Thug
G Herbo posts shady message on Instagram, possibly targeting Young Thug.
In a recent Instagram Story post, G Herbo took a subtle dig at Young Thug, implying that his close friends would never betray him like others did to Thug. The Chicago rapper's statement comes after he accepted a plea deal for charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and making false statements. Although G Herbo did not mention anyone by name, he may be referring to Young Thug's YSL RICO trial, where several co-defendants made plea deals. There is also speculation that G Herbo may be alluding to Gunna, who allegedly cooperated with authorities as part of his own plea deal.
Recently, XXL obtained documents filed by prosecutors in the U.S. District Court, revealing that G Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright III, is expected to serve five years in prison. He will also be required to pay a $250,000 fine, a mandatory special assessment of $100, restitution, and forfeiture to the extent charged. The plea deal is currently being finalized and awaits approval from the judge. A plea hearing, overseen by U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni, is tentatively scheduled for July 27. XXL has reached out to the U.S. District Attorney's Office (Massachusetts) and G Herbo's representatives for further comment. It is worth noting that G Herbo received the plea deal after appearing in court for a separate gun charge in Chicago.
The original indictment for the federal fraud case involved G Herbo, Antonio "T-Glo" Strong, Joseph "Joe Rodeo" Williams, and alleged co-conspirators Steven Hayes Jr., Demario Sorrells, and Terrence Bender. They are accused of using stolen identities to rack up $1.5 million in fraudulent charges for luxury items and services.
