Michelle Yeoh marries Jean Todt, former racing exec, following 19-year engagement

Michelle Yeoh, the Oscar winner and star of "Crazy Rich Asians," has finally married her longtime fiancé Jean Todt after 19 years.

In a momentous occasion, Michelle Yeoh, the groundbreaking Oscar winner, has finally tied the knot with her longtime partner Jean Todt after a nineteen-year engagement. The star of "Everything Everywhere All at Once" exchanged vows with the former racing director of Ferrari and Peugeot in Geneva. The news was shared by former Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa, who posted the couple's wedding program on Instagram, providing a glimpse into their love story and the details of their special day.

According to the program, Yeoh and Todt first met in Shanghai on June 4, 2004. A month later, on July 26, Todt proposed to Yeoh, and she joyfully accepted. Fast forward to July 27, 2023, after a remarkable 6992 days, the couple finally celebrated their union in the presence of their beloved family and friends in Geneva. The program highlighted the couple's happiness and gratitude for this significant moment in their lives.

The wedding festivities also featured Yeoh's prestigious Oscar statuette, as seen in Massa's photos. The pictorial recap showcased Yeoh, known for her roles in "Crazy Rich Asians" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," in various wedding outfits, including a stunning sheer blouse with a tasselled cream skirt and an elegant champagne-hued bodice gown. Massa expressed his love and well wishes for the couple in his caption, emphasizing their happiness and the significance of their marriage.

As of now, representatives for Yeoh and Todt have not responded to requests for comment from the LA Times, and Yeoh herself has not shared any updates about the wedding on her social media platforms.

Todt, a retired French motor racing executive, currently serves as the United Nations' special envoy for road safety and previously held the position of president at the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the governing body of racing.

In a previous interview with the LA Times, Yeoh revealed the couple's long-awaited wedding plans. She explained that they had intended to get married last year but faced challenges in obtaining the necessary paperwork due to Todt's Swiss residency and the country's meticulous requirements. Yeoh also expressed that while the legal aspect of marriage was not as significant to her personally, it held great importance for Todt, and she wanted to honor his wishes.
