Injury Report: Shilo Sanders Active for Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado's defense gets major reinforcements with the return of Shilo Sanders and Myles Slusher against Arizona State. Watch their comeback on Pac-12 Network.
In today's game against Arizona State in Tempe, Colorado's defense is receiving a significant boost with the return of key players. Safety Shilo Sanders, who missed last week's game due to a speculated liver injury, is active and ready to take the field against the Sun Devils. Sanders is a crucial component of the Buffaloes' defense, and his presence will undoubtedly provide a much-needed lift for CU.
Additionally, safety Myles Slusher will also be making his return for the Buffs today. Slusher suffered an injury during week one against TCU, causing him to miss the past five weeks of action. His comeback is of immense importance for Colorado. With Slusher available to play in the star position, the Buffs can apply extra pressure on defense, which should greatly aid their efforts in defeating ASU.
Unfortunately, cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter will not be able to participate for CU this week. Hunter sustained a lacerated liver during week three against CSU, but his recovery is progressing well according to Coach Prime. There is a possibility that Hunter may return next week when Stanford visits Folsom Field, but Prime expressed his preference for Hunter to take the necessary time to fully recover after the bye week.
Furthermore, Buffaloes tackle Savion Washington will be inactive against the Sun Devils due to an ankle injury suffered last week. Washington's absence will be felt by Colorado's offensive line, but they will have to adapt and make the best of the situation. Guard Reggie Young is expected to step in and fill the void at tackle, as the team strives to protect quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
For fans eager to witness the return of Shilo Sanders and Myles Slusher, the game can be watched live at 4:30 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network.
