Halloweentown Cast Reunion: Fans Adore Luke the Goblin's Glow-Up

The cast of Disney Channel's beloved movie "Halloweentown" reunites for its 25th anniversary, and fans are swooning over the glow-up of one cast member.

Halloweentown, a cherished Disney Channel original movie that has been enjoyed by multiple generations of children, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special reunion of the cast. The gathering took place in St. Helens, Oregon, where the beloved Halloween film was originally filmed back in October 1998.

Kimberly J Brown, who portrayed the 13-year-old witch Marnie Piper in the film, shared a heartwarming photo on Instagram on October 22nd. The picture featured her former castmates, including Joey Zimmerman as her mischievous brother Dylan, Emily Roeske as her younger sister Sophie, and Phillip Van Dyke as Luke, a teenage goblin who sought the help of the town's evil warlock Kalabar to enhance his appearance.

In her caption, Brown expressed her joy at seeing her old friends and shared the photo with her followers. The reunion photo revealed that Van Dyke, now 39 years old, has transformed over the years without the need for any magical spells. He stood tall among his Halloweentown co-stars, showcasing his arm sleeve tattoos. Fans immediately swooned over the former actor's new look, while others playfully speculated about Luke's potential deal with Kalabar.

On TikTok, one fan created a viral video sharing her reaction to realizing that Van Dyke was among the Halloweentown cast. The fan expressed her shock and excitement, reigniting her childhood crush on Luke. Similar sentiments were echoed in the comments, with fans expressing their admiration for Van Dyke's silver fox appearance.

Van Dyke's role as Luke in the first two Halloweentown films, along with his voice acting as Arnold Shortman in Nickelodeon's Hey Arnold! and his appearance as Christopher Hayden in Gilmore Girls season three, brought him recognition. However, he decided to step away from Hollywood shortly after the release of the second Halloweentown movie in 2001.

In a 2015 interview with Bustle, Van Dyke revealed that he has been happily married to his wife Jennifer since December 2009, and they have two children together. He also expressed his interest in returning for another Halloweentown installment, but only if the rest of the cast was on board.

While some Halloweentown co-stars have reunited over the years, two cast members took their connection a step further. Brown and Daniel Kountz, who portrayed Kal in Halloweentown II, developed a romantic relationship and eventually got engaged. The couple first met on the set of the second film in 2001 but didn't start dating until 2016. In June 2022, they announced their engagement, further solidifying the special bond shared among the Halloweentown cast.

The 25th-anniversary reunion of the Halloweentown cast not only brought back cherished memories for fans but also showcased the growth and transformations of the actors. Van Dyke's impressive glow-up and the enduring love for his character Luke have captivated fans once again. As the cast members continue to navigate their lives beyond Halloweentown, the reunion serves as a reminder of the lasting impact the film has had on both the actors and their dedicated audience.
