Attack on Titan Final Countdown Image Revealed

Attack on Titan's final countdown art shows Eren, Mikasa, and Armin reuniting before the intense last episode.

The highly anticipated final episode of Attack on Titan is set to air on Crunchyroll today, November 4th at 5 PM Pacific Time. As the series comes to a close, it is sharing one last piece of art to prepare fans for the end. The episode will showcase some of the most significant deaths and moments in the series so far as the Scout Regiment strives to stop Eren Jaeger's genocidal plan involving an army of Colossal Titans.

In the previous episode, Eren successfully unleashed the Rumbling upon the world, resulting in the horrifying mass murder of a large portion of the global population. Eren believed that by doing this, he could protect his friends and put an end to the ongoing war against the Eldians on Paradis Island. Despite being hated and feared by the world, Armin, Mikasa, and the new members of the Scout Regiment have managed to secure an airship and are determined to stop Eren and the Rumbling at all costs. With a runtime of ninety minutes, every minute of the final episode is expected to be crucial.

Leading up to the final episode, Attack on Titan has been releasing new artwork featuring both the Titans and human characters. The latest piece of art shows Eren, Mikasa, and Armin reuniting and attending a screening of the last episode together, symbolizing a rekindling of their friendship. However, due to Jaeger's destructive plan, it is unlikely that this battle in the final episode will have a happy ending for anyone involved.

Creator Hajime Isayama has previously stated that he does not envision a sequel to Attack on Titan in the future. However, fans can look forward to a new short story set in the Scout Regiment's universe, which will be released next year as part of a new art book.
