Barcelona Occasion Show closes 41st edition with over 1,000 cars sold, signaling recovery for the automotive sector. Don't miss out!
The 41st edition of the Barcelona Occasion Show came to a close last Sunday with an impressive sales figure of over 1,000 vehicles. Despite not selling out all 2,500 available cars, the event, organized by Fira Barcelona with the support of the Motor Guild and Fecavem, saw a 25% increase in sales compared to the previous year, even with a shorter duration of just five days instead of nine.
The majority of buyers opted for passenger cars up to 4 meters in length, as well as SUVs, all-terrain vehicles, and sedans over 4.5 meters. Gasoline models were the top sellers, followed by hybrids, while 100% electric units made up 6% of total sales, doubling last year's figures.
President of Ocasión, Jaume Roura, expressed satisfaction with the results, noting that most exhibitors exceeded their sales targets and some even sold out. The total turnover from the more than 1,000 vehicles sold is estimated to be around 24 million euros, with an average price of 23,800 euros for the vehicles on display.
In addition to the successful sales at the event, many operations have also been initiated within the framework of Ocasión, which will soon be carried out in dealerships, as well as through the website www.portalsalonocasion.com, which will remain open until December 31. This will contribute to increasing the total number of transactions and final business volume, further supporting the recovery of the automotive sector in recent months.
The Barcelona Occasion Show has proven to be a testament to the resilience and growth of the automotive industry, with a positive outlook for the future. With a wide range of vehicles and successful sales, the event has solidified its position as a key player in the automotive market.
