Actress Shannen Doherty recently opened up about her ongoing battle with cancer, revealing that her Stage 4 breast cancer has spread to her bones. This update comes after Doherty disclosed earlier this year that she had brain metastases, a condition where cancer cells spread from the original site to the brain.

In an emotional interview with PEOPLE, the "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Charmed" star expressed her determination to keep fighting, stating, "I don't want to die. I'm not done with living. I'm not done with loving. I'm not done with creating. I'm not done with hopefully changing things for the better. I'm just not -- I'm not done."

Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission in 2017. Since then, she has been candid about her cancer journey, sharing updates and insights on social media. However, in 2020, she announced that her breast cancer had recurred and progressed to stage four.

Despite the challenges she faces, Doherty remains determined to continue working and challenging misconceptions about cancer. In her interview, she emphasized the importance of debunking assumptions about what it means to live with cancer, saying, "People just assume that it means you can't walk, you can't eat, you can't work. They put you out to pasture at a very early age -- 'You're done, you're retired,' and we're not."

While undergoing treatment, Doherty also expressed her hope to participate in clinical trials for new treatments, highlighting her unwavering determination to keep fighting. She shared, "My greatest memory is yet to come. I pray. I wake up and go to bed thanking God, praying for the things that matter to me without asking for too much. It connects me to a higher power and spirituality. My faith is my mantra."

Doherty's resilience and determination in the face of her cancer battle serve as an inspiration to many, and her openness about her journey continues to raise awareness about the realities of living with cancer.
