Dolphins Titans Derrick Henry concussion protocol status unknown Monday Night Football
Titans' Derrick Henry in concussion protocol, status for Monday Night Football vs. Dolphins in jeopardy. Miami confident in potential win.
Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is getting his players ready to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, but there's uncertainty about the status of one of Tennessee's top offensive players. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Titans running back Derrick Henry has entered concussion protocol after leaving Sunday's game with concussion-like symptoms. This leaves his availability for the upcoming Monday Night Football game against the Dolphins in question.
Henry, who is currently second in the NFL in rushing yards, with 841 yards and eight rushing touchdowns, poses a significant threat to the Dolphins' defense. Miami's running backs have not put up the same numbers this season, with Raheem Mostert leading the league in rushing touchdowns and rookie De'Von Achane also contributing.
The Dolphins' defense has allowed an average of 96.6 yards per game on the ground this season. However, with Jalen Ramsey back in the lineup, they have held opponents to just 67.7 rushing yards per game in their last three games. If Henry is unable to play, the Titans will turn to rookie running back Tyjae Spears, who has been productive, averaging 5 yards per carry.
As a fan of Derrick Henry, I hope he will be able to play on Monday Night. However, even with Henry in the lineup, I am confident that the Miami Dolphins will be able to overcome the Titans and secure the AFC East title.
