Tim Allen Santa Clauses co-star Casey Wilson ho-ho-horrible on set
"Santa Clause" star Tim Allen is actually a real-life Ebenezer Scrooge, according to co-star Casey Wilson on her "Bitch Sesh" podcast.
The man behind Kris Kringle, Sinterklaas, and Père Noël, Tim Allen, is not the jolly Santa Claus he portrays on screen. According to his co-star Casey Wilson, working with Allen on the Disney+ spinoff series "The Santa Clauses" was a nightmare. Wilson described Allen as rude and difficult to work with, recounting an uncomfortable experience on set.
During a scene in which Wilson's character was supposed to throw things at Allen's character, Allen allegedly complained about her stepping on his lines and then abruptly left the set after his portion of the scene was shot. Wilson described the atmosphere on set as tense, with everyone walking on eggshells around Allen.
Despite Allen's behavior, "The Santa Clauses" stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Clause, and Allen's real-life daughter, Elizabeth Allen-Dick, portrays Sandra Calvin-Claus. Allen himself serves as an executive producer on the series.
In a previous interview on "The Tonight Show," Allen had expressed his interest in the show, citing plot holes in the original "Santa Clause" movie as his motivation for doing the spinoff. He pointed out that the movie never addressed what happened to the previous Santa Claus or Mrs. Claus's first name, and the spinoff aimed to fill in these gaps.
"The Santa Clauses" has two seasons available to stream on Disney+, and despite the behind-the-scenes drama, the show continues to entertain audiences with its holiday-themed content.
