Top-ranked QB recruit Dylan Raiola flips Georgia Nebraska
Highly-touted QB starlet Dylan Raiola has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Nebraska. ESPN's top pocket-passing QB in the 2024 recruiting class.
Highly-touted quarterback prospect Dylan Raiola has made the decision to change his college commitment from Georgia to Nebraska. This comes after Georgia quarterback Carson Beck announced his return to school for his redshirt senior season instead of declaring for the NFL Draft.
Dylan Raiola, ranked as ESPN's top pocket-passing QB in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 8 overall high school player in the 2024 ESPN 300, confirmed in an interview with ESPN that he will be joining Nebraska. He expressed his excitement to follow in the footsteps of his father Dominic, who was an All-American offensive lineman for the university, and his uncle Donovan, who is the school's offensive line coach.
Raiola's decision to switch his commitment to Nebraska marks the third team he has committed to, originally committing to Ohio State before decommitting and switching to Georgia. Nebraska is currently in the midst of a seven-year bowl drought, and Raiola expressed his desire to help bring the program back to its former glory, emphasizing the legacy and history of the Nebraska football program.
While Georgia may have lost out on a top-ranked recruit, they will be pleased to have Beck returning for another season after an impressive first year as the starting quarterback. Beck's strong performance, leading the Bulldogs to a 12-1 record, has positioned him as a top prospect in the 2025 draft class should he have another successful season next year.
