Winter arrival Vitor Roque set for FC Barcelona debut in La Liga
Vitor Roque set to make a splash in Spanish football with FC Barcelona, following in the footsteps of Brazilian legends.
Vitor Roque, the 18-year-old Brazilian football sensation, has finally joined the FC Barcelona first team after signing a long-term deal with the club. He is set to make his debut on Thursday night as the team travels to face UD Las Palmas. Despite his young age, Roque has already played a significant amount of football for Athletico Paranaense and the Brazilian U-20 national team, catching the eye of Barca with 21 goals in 45 games this season. He has also drawn praise from former Athletico Paranaense and Brazilian national team coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, who has spoken highly of his potential to improve. Roque has already made his full debut for Brazil, making him the youngest player to do so since 1994. He is technically the youngest player in the FC Barcelona first-team squad and will be the first Brazilian to join the team directly from Brazilian football since 2019. Additionally, he is friends with Real Madrid-bound Endrick and the two support each other to grow together in football.
