Pascal Siakam triple-double: Pacers end 76ers winning streak at 6 with 134-122 victory

Indiana Pacers' Pascal Siakam's triple-double and Joel Embiid's 31 points lead to 134-122 victory over Philadelphia 76ers. Pacers snap losing streak.

The Indiana Pacers pulled off a stunning 134-122 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night, with newcomer Pascal Siakam leading the charge with a triple-double. Siakam's impressive performance included 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, marking his first triple-double since November 2022.

The 76ers' Joel Embiid, fresh off breaking the franchise record with 70 points just three days prior, put up 31 points and seven rebounds. Despite his efforts, Philadelphia was unable to secure the win, snapping their six-game winning streak.

Embiid, the NBA's reigning MVP, was announced as one of the starters for the All-Star Game, set to take place in Indianapolis for the first time since 1985. The Pacers also celebrated the announcement of Tyrese Haliburton's first All-Star Game start, despite him missing another game due to a strained left hamstring.

Despite Haliburton's absence, the Pacers dominated the game from the start, opening with six straight points and quickly extending their lead to double digits. By halftime, they held a 73-61 lead, which they further expanded with 10 straight points at the start of the second half.

This win marked the end of a three-game losing streak for the Pacers and gave Siakam his first victory since joining the team in a trade with Toronto. The Pacers have now improved to 8-4 against the Eastern Conference's top three teams and maintain a .500 or better record against all three.

The All-Star announcement came just as the game was about to start, and the Pacers honored Haliburton during the first timeout by replaying the television clip. The 23-year-old guard received a standing ovation from the fans, acknowledging his well-deserved recognition.

Looking ahead, the 76ers are set to face the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, while the Pacers will host the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.
