On Saturday, an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Maui made a hard landing around 2 p.m. local time, resulting in five flight attendants and one passenger being injured. American Airlines reported that the aircraft experienced an issue upon landing and that it was taken out of service for inspection by their maintenance team. The injured individuals were transported to a local hospital and later released. The Federal Aviation Administration announced that they will investigate the hard landing, as the plane in question was an Airbus A320. This incident comes shortly after Alaska Airlines' fleet of Boeing 737-Max 9 aircrafts were pulled from service following a mid-air blowout on Jan. 5. Despite the recent incidents, Alaska Airlines resumed operation of their Max 9 planes with Flight 1146, which flew from Seattle to San Diego on Friday.
