Lainey Wilson fills in for Ryan Gosling on 'I'm Just Ken' at Clive Davis Pre-Grammy Gala

Lainey Wilson wins first Grammy for Best Country Album, performs Barbie song "I'm Just Ken" with Mark Ronson at Clive Davis' party.

Lainey Wilson had an incredible Grammy week, culminating in her first Grammy win for best country album with Bell Bottom Country. This album has been on a winning streak, previously taking home album of the year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards, making it one of only nine albums to achieve this feat.

Throughout the week, Wilson was bustling with activity, performing at Spotify's Best New Artist party and surprising everyone with a performance at Clive Davis' annual Pre-Grammy Gala. At the gala, she filled in for Ryan Gosling and sang the hit Barbie song "I'm Just Ken" alongside the song's co-writer Mark Ronson, expressing her identification with Ken rather than Barbie.

In the Grammy press room, Wilson shared the story of how the performance came together, explaining that when Clive Davis asks you to go to a party, you simply can't refuse. And when you find out it's with Mark Ronson, it's a definite yes. She had just a few days to learn the song, but she embraced the opportunity to step outside of her comfort zone and had a blast performing it.

Ronson also expressed his admiration for Wilson, praising her as the "baddest country voice in the land" and expressing his gratitude for her performance. It was a week filled with excitement and success for Lainey Wilson, and her Grammy win is a well-deserved recognition of her talent and hard work.
