Jaguars sign Gabe Davis, Mitch Morse, Darnell Savage, and Wil Lutz to deals. Morse, Davis, and Savage to multi-year contracts.
Wide receiver Gabe Davis, center Mitch Morse, safety Darnell Savage, and kicker Wil Lutz have all reached agreements with the Jacksonville Jaguars, as reported on Monday. Davis is set to sign a three-year, $39 million deal that could reach up to $50 million, pending his official signing on Wednesday, the first day of the 2024 league year. Morse, on the other hand, has signed a two-year deal worth $10.5 million, with $7 million guaranteed. The 31-year-old center was released by the Bills last week and is expected to fill the void left by Luke Fortner in Jacksonville, after being ranked 32nd in pass protection grades among starting centers in 2023.
Meanwhile, Davis, a fourth-round pick in 2020 out of UCF, had an impressive 2023 season with 45 catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns. The 25-year-old receiver has a total of 163 catches for 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns with the Bills. Savage, a 2019 first-round pick, has signed a three-year deal after spending five seasons with the Green Bay Packers. The safety has recorded nine interceptions and 302 tackles in 72 games, with 10 starts and 51 tackles in the last season.
Additionally, the Jaguars have secured kicker Wil Lutz on a three-year contract after his successful season with the Denver Broncos in 2023. Lutz made 30 of 34 field-goal attempts and 29 of 31 extra-point attempts in 17 games. Throughout his career, he has a solid record of 85.2 percent on field goals and 97.2 percent on extra points in 114 games. The team also announced the contract extension of offensive lineman Blake Hance, who played in all 17 games last season after being claimed off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers. Terms of his extension were not disclosed.
