Dallas Cowboys Free Agency Plans: Will They Make Any Moves?
Dallas Cowboys losing players left and right in NFL Free Agency, division rivals Washington Commanders making big moves. Will Cowboys respond?
The Dallas Cowboys have been facing a flurry of player departures during the NFL Free Agency period, leading some to question their inactivity in the market. It's reminiscent of Billy Bob Thornton's character in Tombstone, standing idly by while others make moves.
Two key players, Center Tyler Biadasz and Defensive End Dorance Armstrong, have already agreed to terms with the Washington Commanders, a division rival. Biadasz secured a lucrative 3-year, $30 million deal, while Armstrong's contract could reach up to $45 million over three years. Additionally, Running Back Tony Pollard has departed for the Tennessee Titans on a 3-year, $24 million deal.
Meanwhile, Washington and other NFC East teams have been aggressively adding talent. Washington also signed Running Back Austin Ekeler and Linebacker Frankie Luvu, while the Philadelphia Eagles made a splash by acquiring star Running Back Saquon Barkley. The Eagles also bolstered their defense with the signings of Defensive End Bryce Huff and the re-signing of Brandon Graham.
The New York Giants lost Barkley but made a significant move by trading for Linebacker Brian Burns from the Carolina Panthers and signing him to a hefty 5-year, $150 million deal. They also addressed their offensive line with the addition of Guard Jon Runyan and signed Running Back Devin Singletary to help fill the void left by Barkley.
Despite the losses and the aggressive moves by division rivals, the Cowboys have yet to make any significant announcements in free agency. However, rumors suggest they may target players like Devin White and address expiring contracts in the near future. The lack of activity may not sit well with a franchise known for making big splashes in free agency.
