Drunk Colorado Rep Lauren Boebert GOP gala incident
Witnesses refute claims that servers denied Boebert alcohol at gala, recount her embarrassing selfie moment with Trump. Boebert partying in NYC.
During the recent New York Young Republicans annual event, witnesses have reported that servers did not deny Congresswoman Boebert alcohol, despite claims that she was cut off. The incident allegedly occurred when Boebert sought multiple selfies with former President Donald Trump, leading to interference from his security team.
The servers at Cipriani Ballroom, where the event took place, reportedly informed Boebert that she could no longer be served alcohol. However, witnesses have contradicted this account, stating that Boebert had no trouble getting a drink and instead caused a stir by attempting to take selfies with Trump and Gavin Wax, the club's president.
One eyewitness described how Boebert tried to take selfies with Trump and Wax at the gala's main table, only to be rebuffed by Trump himself. The witness recalled Trump saying, "That's enough," before pushing Boebert away.
In response to the incident, Gavin Wax remarked on Boebert's experience at the gala, highlighting the New York Young Republican Club's reputation for throwing great events. Boebert later continued her night out in New York City, joining colleagues Representative Byron Donalds and former GOP Representative George Santos at the Beach Cafe on the Upper East Side.
This latest episode adds to a string of controversies surrounding Boebert, including a previous incident in September where she and her partner were asked to leave a performance of 'Beetlejuice' in Denver due to their excessive public displays of affection.
