EPL 2024: Liverpool target Arne Slot to replace Jurgen Klopp, Ruben Amorim in talks with West Ham

Reports from British media on Monday suggest that Feyenoord coach Arne Slot is the top candidate to take over as Liverpool manager once Jurgen Klopp steps down. Slot, who led Feyenoord to their first league title in six years and secured the Dutch Cup on Sunday, has emerged as the frontrunner for the challenging task of succeeding Klopp at Anfield.

Despite being a potential candidate for Tottenham last year, Slot is now reportedly leading the race to become the next Liverpool manager. However, the Reds may face competition from Bayern Munich and Barcelona, who are also in search of new coaches for the upcoming season.

Xabi Alonso, the Bayer Leverkusen boss and former Liverpool midfielder, was initially favored for the role after Klopp announced his departure. Nevertheless, Alonso has decided to stay at Leverkusen after winning the Bundesliga title. Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim was also considered for the Liverpool vacancy but is reportedly in talks with West Ham to replace David Moyes next season.
