Actor Nick Pasqual Arrested Border Stabbing Makeup Artist Charged Attempted Murder

Nick Pasqual, known for his background role in "How I Met Your Mother," has been detained at the U.S. border after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, multiple times in a horrifying attack that left her hospitalized with critical injuries. The incident occurred in the early hours of May 23 when Pasqual broke into Shehorn's Los Angeles home and carried out the violent assault. Shehorn, known for her work on projects such as "Rebel Moon," "Family Switch," and "Babylon," had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual for domestic abuse.

Following the attack, Pasqual fled the scene and was later apprehended at a U.S./Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas. An arrest warrant with a bail of $1.07 million has been issued for the actor, who will be extradited to Los Angeles County to face charges. If convicted, Pasqual could face a maximum sentence of life in state prison. The charges against him include attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent.

Shehorn's colleagues became concerned when she failed to show up for work on an indie horror film the day of the attack. In the restraining order filed by Shehorn, she detailed previous instances of physical abuse by Pasqual, including slapping, door-breaking, head slamming, and sexual assault. She underwent emergency surgery after the May 23 attack and spent several days in the ICU.

Friends of Shehorn, Emily MacDonald, and Jed Dornoff, launched a GoFundMe campaign to support her with medical and living expenses during her recovery. Dornoff provided an update stating that Shehorn had been moved out of the ICU and was determined to heal despite the pain she was enduring. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of domestic violence and the importance of supporting survivors in their journey to recovery.
