Bugatti Tourbillon: Lust-Worthy 1,800-HP V16 Hybrid
Bugatti introduces the 1,800-hp Tourbillon, successor to the Chiron. Only 250 to be made. Insane power meets luxury design.
Bugatti has done the unimaginable with the creation of the Tourbillon, the successor to the Chiron that packs an astounding 1,800 horsepower. This powerhouse of a car is not your average vehicle, with only 250 units planned for production. The V16-PHEV engine under the hood may not be the most fuel-efficient, but it certainly lives up to the Bugatti name.
The heart of the Tourbillon is an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine developed in collaboration with Cosworth, boasting a redline of 9,000 rpm and 556 pounds of mass. This powerhouse is complemented by a three-motor hybrid system that adds an additional 800 horsepower to the mix, bringing the total output to a mind-blowing 1,800 horsepower.
The Tourbillon features a new T800 carbon-composite monocoque chassis with aluminum frames and 3D-printed structural braces. The suspension system controls the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. Inside, the luxurious interior is inspired by watchmaking, with an instrument cluster crafted by Swiss watchmakers and a digital screen hidden in the center console.
Despite its impressive performance and luxury features, the Bugatti Tourbillon comes with a hefty price tag. While US pricing has yet to be announced, European pricing is expected to start around €3.8 million. Production is limited to 250 units, with assembly taking place in Molsheim, France.
