Elon Musk Father 12: Tesla CEO and Grimes Welcome Baby Boy

Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur behind companies like Tesla and SpaceX, is not the only wealthy individual expanding his family. According to Bloomberg, Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis recently welcomed their third child together, adding to Musk's growing brood of (at least) 12 children.

While details about the newest addition, including their name and gender, remain unknown to the public, Musk was quick to clarify that the child was not "secretly fathered." In an interview with "Page Six," Musk emphasized that their friends and family were aware of the baby's arrival, despite the lack of a formal press release. He dismissed any speculation of secrecy surrounding the birth.

Musk's family already includes five children from his previous marriage to Justine Wilson, as well as a son with his ex-girlfriend, musician Grimes. Tragically, Musk and Wilson lost a son to SIDS in 2002. In addition to their son X Æ A-Xii, born in 2020, Musk and Grimes also welcomed a daughter named Exa Dark Sideræl (known as "Y") via surrogate in 2021. Following their split in early 2022, Grimes revealed that they had another son named Techno.

The specifics of Musk's relationship with Zilis are not fully disclosed, but the pair welcomed twins in November 2021. In a biography by Walter Isaacson, Zilis shared that Musk expressed a desire for intelligent individuals to have children, offering to be a sperm donor to ensure the offspring shared his genetics. This aligns with Musk's outspoken advocacy for increasing birth rates to safeguard civilization's future.
