LSU plans celebration for 2023 Baseball National Championship on June 28.
LSU has unveiled new details regarding the highly anticipated celebration for their 2023 Baseball National Championship, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 28. This celebration comes on the heels of LSU Baseball's remarkable victory in the College World Series, marking their seventh championship in program history and their first since 2009.
The event will be held at the iconic Alex Box Stadium - Skip Bertman Field, with festivities set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. However, eager fans will have the opportunity to enter the stadium as early as 6:30 p.m. through gates 0-3.
Admission to the celebration is free, and all non-premium areas, including the Champions Club and Suites, will be available on a general admission basis. The field level seating, on the other hand, will be reserved exclusively for guests of LSU Baseball and the university.
To accommodate the influx of attendees, LSU has arranged for free parking in various lots on a first-come, first-served basis. These lots include the Hall of Fame, Old Front Nine, Gourrier South, Levee South, and Hayfield Lots.
The highlight of the celebration at Alex Box Stadium - Skip Bertman Field will undoubtedly be the presentation of the National Championship trophy. Additionally, LSU head coach Jay Johnson, along with members of the team and other dignitaries, will deliver remarks during the event. To conclude the festivities on a high note, a spectacular fireworks show is planned.
For the safety and security of all attendees, LSU officials have confirmed that the Geaux Safe clear bag policy, typically implemented during LSU Athletics events, will be in effect for the celebration. As a result, outside food and drinks will not be permitted.
In a separate announcement, LSU has provided specific information for Champions Club and Suite Season Ticket Holders. These loyal fans will receive complimentary tickets for the celebration, although the tickets will not be necessary for entry into the stadium. Instead, they will be scanned upon arrival at the Champions Club or Suite level. All tickets will be delivered via mobile delivery, and additional details will be communicated through email.
Furthermore, the LSU Tigers are expected to return to Baton Rouge from Omaha on Tuesday, June 27. Fans are strongly encouraged to gather at Alex Box Stadium - Skip Bertman Field to give the team a warm welcome home, showcasing their unwavering support and appreciation for their outstanding achievements.
