Alice Cooper, the musician and member of the band Hollywood Vampires, recently spoke about bandmate Johnny Depp's defamation trial with Amber Heard. In an interview with Vulture, Cooper revealed that he did not pay much attention to the trial while on tour. He stated that he "never watched a moment of" the live-televised trial, which found Heard liable for defamation in relation to her 2018 op-ed about abuse allegations.

The trial concluded on June 1, 2022, while Depp was touring in the U.K. with musician Jeff Beck. They have since reached a settlement and dropped their appeals, with Heard paying Depp $1 million in damages. Cooper expressed that the trial was not a concern for him or Depp during the tour. He stated that Depp's attitude was focused on the music and the next song, rather than the trial. Cooper acknowledged that the trial received significant attention due to the fame of both parties involved.

During the tour, Cooper claimed that the trial was not discussed among the band members, as no one seemed to care about it. He emphasized that he never watched any part of the trial, as he believed it was blown out of proportion and seen as a "Hollywood thing." Depp spent the summer touring with Hollywood Vampires, alongside Cooper, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen. Despite Depp's birthday falling during the tour, the celebration was described as an intimate dinner with his bandmates in Istanbul, Turkey. The source stated that Depp was prioritizing his health during this phase of his life, particularly after fracturing his ankle in May, which led to the rescheduling of some performances.
