Arizona Basketball: Playing for First Place in Pac-12
Arizona Men's Basketball has a chance to avenge a loss against Washington State, with the winner taking the top spot in the conference.
Arizona Men's Basketball, ranked No. 4, is gearing up for a chance to avenge one of their five losses this season. After successfully avenging their early-season loss to Utah two weeks ago, the Wildcats are now setting their sights on No. 21 ranked Washington State.
In a previous matchup in January, Arizona suffered a 73-70 loss to the Cougars in Pullman. Both teams are entering tonight's game with impressive winning streaks - Washington State has won seven straight games, while Arizona is on a six-game winning streak. The Wildcats currently stand at 11-3 in the Pac-12, while the Cougars are at 11-4. Tonight's game will determine the leader in the conference, bringing the victor one step closer to claiming the final Pac-12 regular season title.
Coach Tommy Lloyd emphasized the importance of staying focused on each game as a step towards the ultimate goal. "One win, one loss, and so we want to stay focused on that," Lloyd stated. Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. at McKale Center.
