Known for his collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and Lil Nas X, NBA YoungBoy appeared in Utah's 1st District Court before Judge Spencer D. Walsh. He remains in custody following the court appearance, with an arraignment scheduled for July 1. Originally facing 63 counts in the prescription drug case, the current docket lists 48 charges, including obtaining prescription drugs, forgery, and identity fraud.
Accused of running the fraudulent drug operation from his Huntsville, Utah home, NBA YoungBoy also has active arrest warrants in nearby Weber County related to the drug case. Three other individuals are implicated in the case for picking up prescriptions obtained through fraudulent means.
In addition to his legal troubles in Utah, NBA YoungBoy faces federal weapons charges in his hometown of Baton Rouge. He is charged with possessing an unregistered firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm following a previous aggravated assault conviction. The rapper has pleaded not guilty to the weapons charges and was released from custody in the Baton Rouge case for a pre-trial release, with a trial set for this summer.
Despite being permitted to reside in Utah for his weapons trial, authorities in Louisiana are requesting NBA YoungBoy's return if he is released from custody in Utah. The Louisiana court requested the voiding of his house arrest following his arrest on the prescription drug fraud allegations in April.
