Severe Weather Team 2 is closely monitoring another round of storms moving through north Georgia on Thursday morning, bringing the potential for strong to severe storms.

This follows a previous round of severe weather that brought flash flooding, damaging wind gusts, and hail on Wednesday night and into the early morning hours.

Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz and the Severe Weather Team 2 tracked multiple tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings overnight, with a tornado watch in effect until 4 a.m. for north Georgia.

Meteorologist Brian Monahan warns that another round of strong and severe storms is expected to impact north Georgia and the metro Atlanta area on Thursday, with damaging wind gusts and hail being the main threats. There is also a possibility of a brief spin-up tornado.

Severe Weather Team 2 is providing live coverage of the storms on Channel 2 Action News This Morning, with severe thunderstorm warnings currently in effect for various counties in the area.

In addition, a Flash Flood Warning has been issued for several counties until Thursday morning, along with additional severe thunderstorm warnings for specific counties in the region.
