His publicist confirmed his peaceful passing at his home in Inland Empire, California on Tuesday night. Throughout his illustrious career that began in the 70s, Cobbs amassed an impressive 200 movie and television credits, with his last credited role in 2023 and an upcoming project in the works.

Many will fondly remember Cobbs for his memorable performances in Night at the Museum alongside legends Dick Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney, as well as in Air Bud, The Hudsucker Proxy, and The Bodyguard alongside Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. His role in Demolition Man alongside Wesley Snipes and Sylvester Stallone also left a lasting impact on audiences.

Cobbs was expected to reprise his role as Master Tinker in the sequel to Oz the Great and Powerful, showcasing his enduring talent and versatility as an actor. His feature film debut in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three in 1974 remains a classic that fans should not miss.
